Alfredo Cramerotti is hoping to assemble a new look line up to perform the Village People anthem YMCA
A NORTH Wales gallery boss is hoping to hire farmers, clergyman and a former professional footballer in order to shoot a twisted remake of the Village People classic YMCA.
Alfredo Cramerotti, director of Llandudno’s Oriel Mostyn, thinks the singalong will make art relevant to the Conwy community and attract a staggering 80,000 visitors to filming.
Mostyn staff are putting together a varied show featuring animal medical procedures, such as cattle vaccinations, performed by local farmers and clergymen to the backdrop of the hit 80s track.
Organisers are even hoping to rope in Wrexham born former Wales midfielder Robbie Savage – providing he can perform the four essential dance moves.
With a stereotypically pretentious answer for someone who owns an art gallery, Mr Cramerotti, 44, explained: “So art becomes a way to discuss what life is like for different groups. It’s not just about art, it’s about getting the community involved in the gallery.
“But obviously that’s all total bullshit. The real answer is, of course, because it’s a great song that is secretly everyone’s guilty pleasure. Isn’t it?
“We were also thinking about asking Robbie Savage to join the dance troupe. We’ve seen him strutting his stuff, with his camp outfits, on Strictly Come Dancing and we think he’ll fit right in.
“We’ll look after him. He can get himself clean and have a good meal before we help him learn the routine and take care of that broken nose.
“What would be my message to Robbie?

“And just come here, do the Y.M.C.A.
“I’m sure we can help you today.
