Man works on birthday

No rest for the wicked - Prince William at RAF Valley

THE World’s media has reacted with shock after Prince William was made to work on his 29th birthday.

‘In keeping with Royal practice’ – and the rest of the world – the Duke of Cambridge spent his birthday working.

The Royal, an RAF helicopter search and rescue pilot, called in for duty at the unit’s base at RAF Valley on Anglesey and also faced the possibility of having to answer emergency call-outs in line with his job specification.

A St James’s Palace source said yesterday: “It was a normal working day – a very low-key birthday.”

News sources also speculated that the Prince may even celebrate his
birthday privately with his new wife, Kate, at their North Wales home at a
later date.

It comes after more shock that the Duke of Edinburgh spent his 90th birthday carrying
out royal engagements, including drinking tea and talking shit, earlier this

A spokesman for Careers Wales said: “Should Prince William, or any other
Royal family members, want to enjoy a work-free day on their next birthday they
should consider a job at Timpsons locksmiths – where every staff member gets
their birthday off.”
